摘要： 《中共中央关于构建社会主义和谐社会若干重大问题的决定》把民主法治、公平正义、诚信友爱、充满活力、安定有序、人与自然和谐相处作为和谐社会建设的总要求。从本质上说，和谐社会是法治社会。社会法作为规范和解决社会问题的基本法律，在和谐社会构建中具有重要的作用。目前，我国在社会法治建设中仍存在许多问题，应该尽快加以解决，以促进社会和谐发展。

Abstract: According to“The Decision by Central Committee of Communist Party of China upon Certain Critical Issues Concerning Constructing A Socialist Harmonious Society”，the general principle of constructing a harmonious society is set forth as democracy and rule of law，equity and justice，good faith and affection，sufficient vitality，stabihty and good order and the living of human beings in a peace with the nature in a harmoniOUS manner．In essence，a harmonious society is a society under rule of law．As the basic law to regulate and address social problems．the“social law”is playing a great role in constructing a harmonious society．However，the construction of the rule under the social law is still confronting with quite a number of problems in China nowadays，which should be addressed as soon as possible to pm．mote the harmonious development of the society．
